Essential Duties and Responsibilities


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:


Hearing Maintenance


Attending hearings and/or preparing local appearance counsel attendance prior to the hearing with clear instructions regarding the desired outcome


Providing timely hearing results both internally and to the client if requested


Portfolio Management


Review and sign all pleadings in a timely manner prior to client and/or court submission to ensure compliance with all internal and external rules


Monitoring ECFs and dockets in real time and escalate any actionable docket events


Confirming both internal and external systems (if applicable) are completed timely and appropriately with information specific to the referral and case


Ensuring staff have workable templates that comply with local and federal rules of procedure, as well as any district or judge specific rules


Timely escalate, manage and mitigate any matters of risk identified on a file in which the firm or a current client has an interest


Provide Loan Level Support to Firm Staff and Clients


Answering questions and communicating generally in a timely manner to both firm staff and clients. Communication should include detailed guidance as to action that needs to be taken and provide a robust legal analysis of the situation at hand


Provide guidance to firm staff regarding preparation of pleadings and/or provide templates to assist in the preparation


Coordinating with leadership to identify areas in which processes can be improved


Research


Remain up to date on relevant case law impacting your assigned jurisdictions as well as developments pertaining to bankruptcy code or case law changes



Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)


An active bar admission for the state in which you were hired with a member in good standing status


Admission or ability to get admitted to all bankruptcy courts within the state in which you have an active bar membership


Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings in the jurisdiction in which you were hired or the willingness to obtain bankruptcy knowledge.


Ability to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner.


Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
