Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling has an immediate opening for a Plant Custodianin Port Saint Lucie, FL. This position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the plant and helping with painting and maintenance on the buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning duties such as cleaning, mopping, sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming designated areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break room, and other common areas
- Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal
- Maintain cleanliness of offices and hallways
- Perform painting projects when required
- Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
- Operate a forklift to transport material safely and efficiently
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Other duties as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in janitorial or related roles is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable with hard labor and exposure to various cleaning agents
- Proficient in using hand tools for maintenance tasks
- Basic painting skills
- Knowledge of safe forklift operations and safety protocols
- Willingness to work in hot, wet, or noisy conditions
