Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic about delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical office environment.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate physician-directed orders for medication refills, laboratory tests, and diagnostic services

Obtain, verify, and accurately document patient medical histories

Collect and submit required patient information for insurance verification and prior authorizations

Perform front desk duties, including patient check-in and check-out
-
Take and record patient vital signs and prepare patients for provider visits
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW)
-
Schedule patient appointments and assist with clinical documentation
-
Manage incoming and outgoing telephone communications with patients
-
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and office staff
-
Work collaboratively with providers, medical assistants, and front desk team members
-
Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of medical records

Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards at all times
Qualifications & Requirements

Medical Assistant Certification (preferred)

Prior experience in a medical or healthcare setting (preferred)

Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or similar EMR systems (preferred)

Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures (preferred)

Strong computer and data entry skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a dynamic environment

Strong customer service and patient care skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
