Healthcare Network is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving Collier County, Florida. We provide patient-centered medical and dental services to all age groups, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. We offer the highest level of coordinated care across the spectrum from medical or dental visits, to integrated behavioral health care and on-site lab, pharmacy, and radiology services.
Through partnership with Volunteer Florida, AmeriCorps, and Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Healthcare Network has received a grant to expand care services through concentrated outreach efforts. About Volunteer Florida/AmeriCorps Program
Volunteer Florida administers the AmeriCorps program across the state. AmeriCorps is a national service program that provides opportunities for individuals to serve their communities in many different capacities. In exchange for a living stipend, educational award and valuable on-the-job experience, members work in nonprofit organizations, educational foundations, and government agencies for one year, helping improve the health of our community, one patient at a time.
Funding is available from the federal agency, AmeriCorps, and is administered by Volunteer Florida. AmeriCorps members are selected and managed by their host organization and spend a year addressing issues critical to the organization's mission.
Healthcare Network's grant specifically targets the areas of Immokalee and Golden Gate City in Collier County, which are historically underserved communities. This grant will ensure that access to health and dental care is given to those who need it most with emphasis on ensuring that they receive the care they need in the most comfortable fashion possible.
STATUS:
Full-time (30-40 hours per week) Temporary Grant funded through July 2026.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Program Coordinator will support, and lead activities related to Healthcare Network's Public Health AmeriCorps program. Specifically, they will support the Program Director to provide support to incoming AmeriCorps Members, maintain accurate volunteer records, and coordinate the program's evaluation process. They will also work with the Program Director to ensure that the program is in full compliance with AmeriCorps regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Program Director to execute the following responsibilities:
Community Partnerships
- Support the creation of the program into Immokalee and Golden Gate City
- Assist is cultivating strong relationships with community organizations.
- Ensure all partnerships follow AmeriCorps and Healthcare Network onboarding and daily responsibility regulations as outlined in partnership agreements.
- Identify areas to strengthen new and existing partnerships.
Data Collection and reporting
- Coordinate accurate and timely data collection for all AmeriCorps members.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends and improve AmeriCorps Member service delivery, ensuring impact and improvement in targeted areas.
- Work cooperatively with financial and leadership staff to develop practices that effectively plan for and manage program funds and provide accurate, complete, and current documentation of the financial status of the AmeriCorps program.
- Manage project reporting process in writing accurate periodic progress reports aligned with the Healthcare Network approved AmeriCorps program.
Recruitment and Training
- Assist in recruitment efforts for the program, ensuring that all program slots are filled.
- Coordinate AmeriCorps Member orientation and plan logistics for ongoing Member training and assist with training, onboarding, and supervision of Healthcare Network volunteers.
- Assist in identifying and seeking resources to address learning gaps needed to deliver effective service for AmeriCorps Members.
Coordination and evaluation
- Assist Program Director with coordination and evaluation of AmeriCorps members and Healthcare Network volunteers, in partnership with supervisors of areas where members are assigned.
Other assignments are based on the needs of the program and interest of the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- One or more years managing or leading a team; Experience in coordinating and facilitating working groups.
- Experience working in a school, educational, or healthcare support setting.
- Experience with data collection and/or program evaluation
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and present ideas with clarity, credibility, humility, and tact; bilingual (English and Spanish or Creole) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and plan for questions, listen carefully, provide constructive feedback, and remain open and responsive to feedback from others.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Flexible team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekends as needed for the success of the program.
- Ability to travel throughout Collier County to Outreach events.

Preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps VISTA, and/or national service experience preferred.
