Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer with a passion for site civil land development. This role will support a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects under the guidance of a Project Manager (PM). You’ll play a key role in advancing project objectives through technical design, permitting, coordination, and communication with clients, consultants, and public agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare preliminary and final site development plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Analyze project data, including surveys, legal descriptions, and utility information
- Develop engineering reports, technical studies, and calculations (e.g., drainage, grading, utilities, stormwater management)
- Support preparation and submittal of permit applications to local and state agencies
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders
- Monitor work for compliance with applicable codes and industry standards
- Assist in preparing construction documents, cost estimates, and engineering opinions
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment with clear and effective communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar Engineering degree) from an ABET accredited university.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months required.
- Desire and motivation to obtain PE preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with WaterCAD, StormCAD, SewerCAD, or ICPR4/Stormwise a plus
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and meet deadlines
