Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist for a top Healthcare client.

This specialist role operates under general supervision to prepare patients, operate advanced equipment, and assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. The Technologist performs highly specialized radiographic imaging, assists with hemodynamic monitoring, and provides crucial support for both the clinical team and the overall efficient function of the lab.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage highly specialized radiographic imaging procedures to clearly demonstrate cardiac and vascular patency in a variety of anatomical parts.
  • Assist physicians directly in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular special procedures in the Cath Lab.
  • Conduct and interpret hemodynamic monitoring throughout the duration of all procedures.
  • Make necessary preparations and operate equipment for procedures under general supervision.
  • Support the efficient function of the lab by assisting in transporting patients to and from the Cath Lab as needed.
  • Prioritize the general care of the patient and family member, recognizing the importance of holistic team support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procedures, monitoring data, and patient responses.

Requirements

Education

  • Associate Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited program is required (implied by degree).

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous Specials, Vascular, or Cardiac Cath Lab Tech experience is required.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) registry OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential is REQUIRED.
  • Florida State Registered Radiologic Technician license is required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 45 days of hire date.

Skills

  • Proven expertise and knowledge in performing radiographic procedures of a highly specialized cardiac and vascular nature.
  • Strong ability to perform and assist with hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills for supporting both the clinical team and patient families.
