Are you a skilled Finish Carpenter or Cabinet Maker with a passion for precision? PRT-Staffing is seeking a true craftsman for a premier client in the precast concrete manufacturing industry. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity where you can showcase your skills and earn a permanent position with a leading company.
Our client operates in a stable, factory-based environment where you will use your high-level woodworking skills to build the intricate and precise molds used to create high-quality concrete products. This is a unique opportunity to apply the fine tolerances of cabinet making and trim carpentry to large-scale, impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Construct and assemble high-precision molds for precast concrete, working to exacting tolerances similar to custom cabinetry and architectural millwork.
- Utilize mastery of woodworking power tools, including table saws, miter saws, routers, and pneumatic tools, to create components with perfect dimensions and finishes.
- Perform finish carpentry work on molds, ensuring all surfaces, joints, and edges are flawless to produce a high-quality final concrete product.
- Accurately install and secure inserts (e.g., lifting anchors, electrical conduits) within the molds as specified by the blueprints.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the manufacturing facility.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Finish Carpenter, Cabinet Maker, or a similar high-precision carpentry role (e.g., architectural millwork, furniture making).
- Expert-level proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed blueprints, cut lists, and schematics.
- Demonstrated mastery of woodworking power tools and hand tools, with a strong emphasis on safety and precision.
- A meticulous eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
