Position Summary

The Security – Guest Experience & Dress Code Ambassador supports a safe, refined, and welcoming dining environment at Caxambas Restaurant. This part-time, seasonal position provides a visible, professional security presence while ensuring compliance with established dress code standards and community policies.

This role is designed to align with Florida security regulations and emphasize professional presence, policy enforcement, and guest interaction consistent with private clubs, luxury hospitality venues, and upscale residential communities.

For over 40 years, Gulf Bay® Group of Companies has been at the forefront of developing some of the most prestigious and successful luxury residential properties in Southwest Florida. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional, uniformed security presence at the entrance of Caxambas Restaurant
  • Greet residents and guests courteously while monitoring entry activity
  • Enforce restaurant dress code and community standards in a respectful, non-confrontational manner
  • Communicate policies clearly and professionally to residents and guests
  • Observe, assess, and report potential security or safety concerns
  • De-escalate situations within the scope of authority and escalate incidents to Security leadership or management as required
  • Coordinate with restaurant management and Security personnel to support safe operations
  • Maintain detailed awareness of assigned post responsibilities
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance at all times
  • Wear a professional business suit as the required uniform

This position does not carry arrest authority and operates in accordance with Florida Class D security regulations.

Schedule & Employment Status

  • Part-Time, Seasonal Position
  • Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings
  • Up to 5 hours per shift
  • Restaurant operating hours: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Seasonal operation: Caxambas is closed during the month of April

Qualifications & Licensing Requirements

  • Active Florida Class D Security Officer License (required)
  • Must maintain licensure in good standing throughout employment
  • Prior experience in security, hospitality, private club, concierge, or luxury environments preferred
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to enforce policies calmly, professionally, and consistently
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and situational awareness

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to monitor entry points and surrounding areas
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Compensation

  • $20–$25 per hour, based on experience

Work Environment

  • Upscale, resident-focused dining environment
  • Frequent interaction with residents, guests, and staff
