Job Summary
The Assistant School Nurse supports the health and well-being of students in grades PK-12. Working as part of a two-person team, this role provides day-to-day healthcare services, manages student health plans, communicates health needs to faculty and staff, and maintains accurate student health records. The nurse will also provide emergency care when needed and contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities

Provide direct healthcare services to students, and as needed, faculty and staff.

Assist with the management and communication of individualized student health plans.

Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.

Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or emergency care.

Support health education and awareness initiatives within the school community.

Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to promote student health and well-being.

Ensure the efficient and effective daily operations of the school clinic.
Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Current CPR/AED certification.

Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively across developmental age groups.

Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
