Position Overview

Kelley | Uustal is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Paralegal specializing in Artificial Intelligence Integration to support our complex litigation teams. This position is designed for a professional who is not only committed to excellence in litigation support but is also deeply engaged with the rapidly evolving field of AI and its practical applications in the legal arena.

The AI Innovation Paralegal will collaborate directly with senior trial attorneys and litigation teams, leveraging advanced AI tools to enhance research, discovery, organization, and strategic preparation. This individual will play an integral role in implementing AI-driven insights and workflows throughout all stages of complex litigation from case development and evidence management to trial support and post-trial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist trial teams in identifying and applying AI tools to strengthen case strategy, discovery processes, and trial preparation.
• Attend litigation strategy meetings, key depositions, hearings, and trials to provide real-time AI-enhanced support and problem-solving.
• Research, test, and deploy emerging AI technologies to improve document review, evidence organization, factual analysis, and case presentation.
• Maintain proficiency in evolving AI tools and best practices, serving as an internal resource on responsible and effective use of AI in litigation.
• Support firmwide innovation initiatives to ensure Kelley | Uustal remains at the forefront of technological advancement in trial practice.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency with generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, CoCounsel) and strong understanding of their legal applications.
• Exceptional research, analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary trial teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
• Prior litigation paralegal experience strongly preferred; candidates with proven AI fluency and a passion for innovation in legal operations will also be considered.
