Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior WordPress Developer with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites (+5 websites and more). This role requires deep expertise in custom theme development, template creation, plugin integration, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building user-friendly, responsive, and high-performance websites while maintaining clean, scalable code.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom WordPress themes and templates from scratch based on design mockups or brand guidelines.
  • Maintain and enhance existing WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user experience.
  • Collaborate with design, content, and marketing teams to implement website features and functionality.
  • Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, or plugin conflicts.
  • Implement best practices in coding standards, site architecture, and technical SEO.
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in web development with a focus on WordPress.
  • Expert in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Strong experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Deep understanding of the WordPress core, hooks, filters, and APIs.
  • Proficient with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and Gutenberg.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
  • Experience with website optimization tools (e.g., Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix).
  • Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
  • Solid grasp of SEO best practices, schema markup, and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively.
  • Experience working for marketing agencies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and services (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Stripe).
  • Experience with headless WordPress and REST API.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
