Overview

We are seeking a full-time experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. A minimum of one year of experience as a medical assistant is required. Your responsibilities will include managing patient records, assisting with examinations, performing basic clinical tasks, and drawing blood through venipuncture.

Duties

• Prepare patients for examinations
• Assist with patient intake
• Support physicians with medical refills
• Assist the physician with patient call backs
• Assist the doctor with medical procedures
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting medical histories
• Administer medications and injections as directed by the doctor
• Draw blood, conduct basic laboratory tests, and prepare specimens
• Manage patient records
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment
• Support patient care by providing education on treatment plans and follow-up instructions
• Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Operate and maintain EHR systems accurately for documentation of patient information
• Support administrative staff as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a medical assistant
• Certified medical assistant
• Proficient in electronic health records EHR, preferably eClinicalWorks
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care while maintaining confidentiality
• Prior experience in geriatrics and internal medicine is advantageous
