Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing essential speech-language support to students across multiple school sites, this role focuses on delivering comprehensive services to Pre K-12 students within a varied caseload. The assignment spans the duration of the current school year, with services scheduled from early January through late May.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized education plans for students exhibiting mild to moderate communication disorders.
- Deliver therapy sessions tailored to K-12 learners needs, addressing speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals within the school curriculum.
- Maintain detailed documentation and reports consistent with state and school district requirements.
- Manage caseload efficiently, providing itinerant services across multiple school sites as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Speech-Language Pathologist licensure.
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably in a school setting serving Pre K-12 populations.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, adapting to different school environments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with school teams and families.
- Commitment to on-site work with flexibility for itinerant responsibilities.
