Job Description:
French Florist is seeking a creative and passionate Designer to join our team as a Floral Designer/Shop Assistant. At French Florist, you will have the opportunity to work with the most beautiful flowers from all around the world and create breathtaking arrangements that will leave a lasting impression on our customers.
This is an onsite position at our Boca Raton, FL, area store.
Workdays consist of designing and creating stunning floral arrangements as well as helping customers with their individual flower needs.
You will also be responsible for keeping our shop and floral cooler tidy by cleaning, sorting and organizing the various flowers into a beautiful display. Shop assistants stock vases, floral supplies and all of the other items needed to create our finished floral arrangements.
· Processing flowers including cutting, feeding, watering, storing, etc.
· Keeping the shop organized by inventory, rotating boxes, color coordinating, etc.
· Assisting drivers with finding orders and gathering trips
· Processing invoices from our vendors and assuring all billed items are delivered
Successful applicants will possess:
Previous experience in floral design and a deep understanding of various floral arrangements and design techniques is a must.
· You should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for flowers and design.
· If you are a talented Floral Designer with a passion for flowers and a desire to create beautiful works of art, we would love to hear from you.
· Physical fitness and stamina with the capability of standing, lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders and moving large shipments of supplies
· Adaptability to changing demands during various seasons and holidays
· Strong communication skills
· Organizational skills to contribute to maintaining inventory in stock and keeping an organized work space
· Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
· Understand the need to get the work done with a sense of urgency
