Overview
Our client is a leading renewable energy company seeking an experienced Commissioning Supervisor to oversee civil and mechanical aspects of solar plant construction. As the Owner's representative, you'll play a critical role in ensuring EPC contractor adherence to all contractual commitments and project specifications throughout the construction lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Owner's representative overseeing civil and structural aspects of solar plant construction
- Ensure EPC contractor adherence to Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Performance expectations
- Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Conduct daily field walks and observations with construction crews
- Perform comprehensive QA/QC inspections and walkdowns on construction activities
- Monitor and ensure SWPPP installation and maintenance per permit requirements
- Attend safety meetings, craft tailgates, and management meetings
- Track open action items and punchlist completion
- Complete QA/QC inspections in project management systems
- Coordinate with contractors, management, and third-party stakeholders
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience in commissioning or construction supervision
- Minimum 4 years of industrial experience in Civil and Structural construction
- Proven ability to comprehend and interpret construction drawings and prints
- Strong people management and leadership capabilities
- Excellent organization, scheduling, planning, and progress reporting skills
- Outstanding communication skills for contractor management and stakeholder coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with data entry and project management system uploads
- Willingness to be on construction site for project duration
