Job DescriptionExperienced Fire Alarm TechnicianLOCATION:
Our Client is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and service commercial fire alarm systems. If you bring 3+ years of hands-on experience and hold a current FASA/BASA card, we're excited to connect with you.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Install, program, test, inspect, and service fire alarm systems and related low-voltage devices
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, power supplies, and networked systems
- Complete inspections and documentation in accordance with NFPA and local AHJ requirements
- Read and interpret drawings, risers, wiring diagrams, and scope sheets
- Communicate clearly with customers, coordination teams, and AHJs; close tickets with accurate documentation
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory while following safety procedures and jobsite standards
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with commercial fire alarm systems (installation, service, and/or inspections)
- Valid and current FASA/BASA card (Florida)
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 and relevant electrical/low-voltage codes
- Proficiency with at least one major platform (e.g., Notifier/Honeywell, Silent Knight, EST/Edwards, Siemens, Gamewell-FCI, Fire-Lite)
- Comfortable using test equipment (multimeter, loop tester), laptops/programming tools, and mobile work applications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on ladders/lifts, and handle occasional on-call/overtime as needed
Nice to Have:
- NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification (Level I-III)
- Manufacturer certifications (Notifier, EST, Siemens, etc.)
- Experience with voice evacuation, mass notification, and networked panel systems
