Maintenance Technician

Location: Bradenton, FL

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay:$18–$20 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled
  • Complete work orders and repair requests promptly and professionally
  • Assist with general repairs involving electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and flooring
  • Follow all safety guidelines while working around staff, visitors, and patients
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices accurately
  • Work independently and manage time efficiently

Requirements:

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in building maintenance or related trades preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and tile work is a plus

Skills:

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, web-based systems)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must be dependable and detail-oriented

Other:

  • Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Level II background check required
