Neurosurgery practice is looking for a full-time medical assistant who is detailed oriented and reliable and can travel to our two locations.
Responsibilities
- Room patient, obtain vitals, obtain patient histories, review medication list.
- Assist physician during exams
- Prepare medical records prior to appointments and ensure all pertinent information, such as lab results and reports, are in the file prior to the physicians visit
- Manage physician schedule to make more productive
- Perform a range of basic office support, not limited to answering phones and triage patients phone calls, routine clerical data entry, and scanning documents
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Prior authorizations for office visits, procedures, and testing
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant with 1-2 yrs experience
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Detailed oriented
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- Travel to our two locations
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of eClinical Works a plus
