About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead our pharmacy team and oversee daily operations. As the PIC, you will ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, supervise staff, and maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the prescription department
- Ensure full compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and HIPAA regulations
- Supervise and support pharmacists, technicians, and interns
- Maintain accurate inventory and secure handling of controlled substances
- Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately and safely
- Keep all pharmacy records and reports in compliance with state and federal laws
- Report any theft, loss, or discrepancies as required
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
- Notify regulatory bodies of any changes in PIC status, ownership, or operations
Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida
- Strong knowledge of Florida pharmacy laws and DEA regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
