10+ years of experience in healthcare facilities engineering REQUIRED, within a hospital or healthcare environment of similar size and complexity.

Job summary:
The Facilities Engineering Director is responsible for the strategic planning, leadership, and overall management of the hospital’s facilities engineering, maintenance, and plant operations. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all building systems in alignment with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational goals.

Education & Experience:

• Education: College degree preferred in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• License/Certification:
• CHFM (Certified Health Care Facilities Manager) preferred.
• Professional Memberships:
• ASHE (American Society for Healthcare Engineering) preferred; required within the first year of hire.
• Experience Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in healthcare facilities engineering REQUIRED, within a hospital or healthcare environment of similar size and complexity.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in hospital building operations and maintenance.
• At least 5 years of progressive management and supervisory experience within healthcare facilities operations.
