Job Summary: This position provides support to case management through the licensure and re-licensure of relative and non-relative kinship placements.
Essential Functions:
The items listed below are intended to provide an overview of the essential functions of the job. This is not an exhaustive list of all functions and responsibilities that the position may be required to provide.
- Conduct level one licensing home studies on all interested relative and non-relative placements.
- Complete yearly re-licensing home studies for all level one licensed relative and non-relative homes.
- Conduct any required trainings to facilitate level one licensure or re-licensure.
- Submit initial and re-licensure home studies timely, completely and accurately to the ChildNet licensing department.
- Provide support to level one relative and non-relative placements.
- Actively collaborate with the Kinship Support Specialists to resolve issues requiring attention.
- Provide level one licensed relatives and non-relatives with ample notice of items needed for initial licensure and re-licensure.
- Assist relatives and non-relatives with identifying and screening natural supports to assist in caretaking duties.
- Document all case related activities in FSFN within 48 hours of the activity.
- Participate as needed in statewide discussions around level one licensure, including participating in workgroups and providing feedback regarding ways to improve the process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Years of Experience:
- Two (2) years of experience in Human Services or Child Welfare programs
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field required
- Certified Child Welfare Professional required

Work Environment:
- Typical office environment. Offices with equipment noise. Offices with frequent interruptions.
- Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal.
- Local travel is required as an essential function of the job. Other duties are completed in an office or virtual environment based on business needs.
