Position Summary:

The Free Standing Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process while maintaining compliance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. This role requires advanced clinical judgment, strong assessment skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care and optimal outcomes in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collect comprehensive data related to patient health and clinical status.

• Analyze assessment data to determine patient diagnoses or care needs.

• Identify expected outcomes and develop individualized care plans.

• Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient progress.

• Enhance quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through continuous improvement.

• Exercise independent clinical judgment based on experience and knowledge.

• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Maintain compliance with patient safety standards and reporting guidelines.

• Participate in professional development and support peer collaboration.

• Float to other units as needed based on business requirements.

Compensation:

Hourly Pay Range Based on Experience:

$26.40 – $27.72 per hour for 0–1 years of experience

$34.32 per hour for approximately 7–8 years of experience

Up to $39.60 per hour for 15 or more years of experience

Sign-On Bonus:

$15,000 sign-on bonus

Additional Information:

Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care Emergency Room RN experience, with experience within the last year

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited program required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Active Florida RN license required or valid compact license with Florida licensure obtained within 90 days of hire

Basic Life Support BLS or BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Ability to work rotating weekends and mixed shifts
