A selective opportunity is available for experienced Oncology Pharmacists to enhance oncology services within a well-established hospital system in the Miami Beach area. This contract-to-hire role is ideal for professionals with solid clinical pharmacy experience in oncology who thrive in collaborative and innovative healthcare environments.

Location: Miami Beach, Florida (with some duties supporting the surrounding South Florida region)

Position Overview:Two oncology pharmacist roles are currently open:

  • Oncology Research Pharmacist: Focus on supporting oncology clinical trials and research. Candidates with prior research experience will find this role particularly rewarding. Responsibilities include ensuring investigational drug management and maintaining protocol compliance alongside physicians and research teams.

  • Clinical Oncology Pharmacist: This position centers on clinical oncology pharmacy services including chemotherapy management, order verification, and protocol building. Experience with Epic Beacon certification is required for this role. You will contribute significantly to patient care through close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive oncology pharmacy experience in hospital or health-system settings
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and oncology medication management
  • For the Clinical role: Epic Beacon certification required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams
  • Prior research experience a major plus for the Research Pharmacist position

Responsibilities:

  • Manage oncology medication therapy and chemotherapy orders safely and effectively
  • Support clinical trials and research protocols ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in protocol development and clinical workflow optimization
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and research personnel to enhance patient outcomes
