Go Local Promotions Inc. is an experiential marketing agency seeking an Assistant Carpenter to support the fabrication of retail displays and event activations, including trade show booths, for various clients and events nationwide.

This is a temporary, on-call position based at our carpentry shop in Doral, FL, under a 1099 contractor agreement. While the role is on-call, we currently manage a high volume of projects, and this position offers a strong opportunity to become ongoing or permanent for the right candidate based on performance and availability.

Pay Rate: $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 20–40 hours per week, with occasional overtime based on project needs

The ideal candidate will have experience working with wood, carpentry tools, CNC machines, metal, acrylic, and mixed materials. Knowledge of visual installations, vinyl wraps, and 3D design software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead carpenters with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials

• Load, unload, and organize materials and tools

• Maintain and clean tools and equipment

• Prepare job sites and assist with clean-up and organization

• Support the installation of frameworks, cabinetry, and structures following plans and instructions

• Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain an organized workspace

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion

• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new carpentry and fabrication skills

• Occasionally assist with basic client communication related to projects

Qualifications

• Previous carpentry or fabrication experience preferred

• Knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor

• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

• OSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• High school diploma or equivalent (vocational or technical training a plus)

• Flexible availability, including weekends if needed

• Must have valid documentation to work in the U.S.
