Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and reliable Irrigation Helper/Apprentice to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn the fundamentals of irrigation technology, and grow in a fast-growing industry. You will work closely with experienced technicians to ensure landscapes remain healthy and efficiently watered.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in installing irrigation systems including pipes, valves, controllers, and sprinklers
- Diagnose and assist in repairing leaks, clogs, and other system malfunctions
- Perform trenching, digging, and backfilling as necessary for system installation or repairs
- Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials on-site
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site environment
- Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Learn and apply basic irrigation concepts (zones, timers, water pressure control)
- Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors regarding progress and issues
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor such as digging and bendin
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
Preferred SkillsBasic mechanical aptitude or landscaping experience is a plus (not required)
CertificationsNone required – on-the-job training provided
EducationHigh school diploma or GED preferred but not required
