Job Description
Assistant Project Manager
(Development & Land Planning Emphasis - Auto Cad Experience a MUST)
Location: West Palm Beach, FL - On-site only
Rich Global is seeking an exceptional Assistant Project Manager to join our elite development team in West Palm Beach. This is a hybrid role blending traditional project management with a strong foundation in site planning, zoning, and development coordination.
You’ll support projects from concept through completion - coordinating consultants, verifying code compliance, managing schedules, and helping translate ideas into actionable, buildable plans. This position is ideal for someone with project management experience who also understands (or studied) land planning, urban design, or related disciplines and wants to apply that technical insight to real-world development.
You’ll work directly under our Director of Development and CEO on complex Florida projects - multifamily, industrial, retail, and mixed-use - including LIHTC developments and public-private partnerships.
What You’ll Do
• Manage day-to-day project progress across assigned developments (typically 1–2 at a time)
• Coordinate and track work among architects, engineers, planners, municipalities, attorneys, and contractors
• Review municipal codes, zoning ordinances, and density regulations to confirm project feasibility
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, meeting agendas, and action logs
• Oversee permitting workflows, plan submittals, utility coordination, and documentation tracking
• Assist in creating or reviewing concept site plans in AutoCAD for internal and consultant use
• Support contracting and procurement of consultants and subcontractors, ensuring scope alignment and timely delivery
• Attend OAC and coordination meetings; capture and drive follow-ups through completion
• Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, pay apps, and invoice tracking
• Maintain organization through monday.com, HubSpot, Teams, and shared drives
• Perform jurisdictional due diligence and prepare concise internal summaries
• Serve as the operational “glue” that keeps every aspect of development connected and moving
What We’re Looking For
• 2–5 years of experience in real estate development, construction project management, or related field
• Familiarity with land-planning principles, zoning code interpretation, and site plan review processes
• AutoCAD proficiency strongly preferred; SketchUp, Civil 3D, or Bluebeam a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage consultants, track schedules, and coordinate permitting and construction activities
• Strong analytical, written, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and follow-through under pressure
• Based in or able to commute to West Palm Beach full-time - no remote work
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Real Estate Development preferred
