We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our supplements and food manufacturing team. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical skills, experience with PLCs, and the ability to lead a maintenance team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, including:

    • Labeling machines

    • 8-Line Turpak machines

    • Sudden machines

    • AMS filling systems

    • Ball Pack machines

    • Keypack machines

    • Metal detectors

    • Food X-ray inspection systems

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues

  • Perform PLC troubleshooting and basic programming adjustments

  • Lead daily maintenance activities and mentor junior technicians

  • Maintain forklifts and warehouse equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance

  • Maintain and repair facility systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, doors, etc.)

  • Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and cGMP standards

  • Accurately document repairs, maintenance logs, and downtime reports

  • Collaborate with production, quality, and sanitation teams

  • Participate in audits, continuous improvement efforts, and cross-functional projects

  • Manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance (food or supplement manufacturing preferred)

  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems

  • Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)

  • Familiar with preventive maintenance systems and tools (e.g., multimeters, power tools)

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, cold, or noisy environments

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Basic computer literacy (CMMS software knowledge is a plus)

Preferred:

  • Technical certification or degree in a related field

  • Prior supervisory or lead technician experience

  • OSHA 10/30 Hour Certification

  • Knowledge of HACCP, FDA, and GMP compliance standards
