Senior Commercial Project Manager - Heavy Civil

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for a General Contractor based in South Florida to lead multiple construction projects and ensure overall project success. The focus is on heavy civil projects, but we will definitely entertain candidates with large commercial project experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in financial performance, profitability, and business judgment.
• Oversee projects from start-up through closeout, ensuring budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction goals are met.
• Serve as the main point of contact for project managers regarding budget, billing, and performance.
• Maintain contract compliance and represent the company to owners, architects, consultants, government authorities, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress, site performance, costs, and schedules.
• Lead staff development, mentoring, and team assignments.
• Manage financial aspects including cash management, accounts receivable, forecasting, and P&L.
• Support schedule planning, construction workflow, and SOP compliance.
• Champion jobsite safety and coordinate with Corporate Safety Officer.
• Attend and lead internal and client meetings to manage profitability and relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of construction management experience for a medium to large general contractor.
• Strong business judgment, leadership, problem-solving, and team development skills.
• Ability to adapt to change and lead high-performing teams.
