Job DescriptionSalary: $18 - $19/hr
The Report Writer I assists the professional engineers in the completion of the forensic engineering explorations by conducting background research and producing an initial draft report. In addition, this role assists by performing other tasks as needed to support the department and clients.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Researches, documents, and collects the required background information for reports.
- Utilizes the companys templates, style guides, and proprietary software to draft comprehensive engineering reports on behalf of the professional engineers.
- Collaborates with team members, professional engineers, and field staff.
- Summarizes documents and other information provided by the client.
- Maintains quality and standards.
- Provides general administrative support and completes other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required along with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a fast-paced office environment. An associate or bachelor's degree in English, science, engineering, or a related field and experience in an engineering firm are preferred. Must have the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and time demands. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel and have a working knowledge of Outlook. Experience with SalesForce software is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands of this position primarily involve sedentary work. Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, utilizing a computer keyboard and mouse. Occasional light lifting, not exceeding 15 pounds, may be necessary.
