Job DescriptionWorking hands on while managing & leading volunteers in the construction or repair of single-family homes from framing to finishing. Overseeing the quality of community volunteers.
The primary objective of the Construction Site Supervisor is to work hands-on while managing and leading volunteers in the consstruction or repair of single family homes from start to finish. Working with volunteers is vital to the organziation and requires a positive attitude and excellent verbal communications skills. The Construction Site Supervisor will work closely with the Construction Manager to schedule and supervise subcontraced trades in the field and schedule inspections. The Consstruction Site Supervisor will conduct a brief safety training and general overview each day to ensure the safety of staff and volunteers. All duties are performed with particular attention to customer service to our volunteers, home buyers and Board of Directors.
Must be able to communicate, orally and written, in English. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Minimum of 5 years construction field experience in a supervisory role
Working knowledge of current residentail buildng code; new and existing
Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word and Excel
Positive can-do attitude with strong organizational skills
Ability to guide and support volunteers within the community
Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to work weekends; primary schedule is 7:00 AM -3:30 PM Tuesday - Saturday
