Summary:
The Production Planner will possess strong analytical and technical skills and proficiency in key software tools such as Jesta, Vision, and AX, along with medium-advanced Excel skills, data manipulation, data visualization, and data modeling. Will collaborate closely with IT and Operations teams to enhance current trackers, monitor daily operations, and provide timely updates and reports. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with various business units to ensure on-time deliveries and resolving any issues that arise.
Essential Job Duties:
- Develop production plans to meet requirements based on customer orders, forecasts, stocking plans, other.
- Proficient in Jesta, Vision, and AX systems to extract and analyze data, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
- Utilize medium-advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, Data Visualization, Power Query, Data modeling) to create, manipulate, and analyze complex data sets.
- Monitor, identify, and resolve delays or problems in real-time, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in production data between physical counts, Excel reports, and Dynamics AX records, working with relevant teams to resolve issues.
- Monitor production schedule, proper allocation, and identify potential bottlenecks or deviations and proactively communicate with supervisors to mitigate issues that arise.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement within the production flow, leveraging data from Dynamics AX, Jesta, and Excel reports to support proposed changes.
- Develop, maintain, and update various daily, weekly, and monthly production reports using Microsoft Excel, extracting data from Dynamics AX and other sources.
- Collaborate and communicate requirements with different business units (e.g., TPG, D.R.) to ensure on-time deliveries and proper alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and manage special commercial business accounts, including NYPD, DHS, and Victoria, ensuring that their specific needs are addressed.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to monitoring and reporting on operational data.
Education & Experience:
- 4-year college degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years working in a production environment
- Master Planning, MRP, CRP, and Data Analysis experience (Manipulation, Modeling, and Visualization)
Required Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX, Excel, and Data manipulation.
- Detail oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in identifying bottlenecks, analyzing production data, and uncovering root causes of operational issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, Power BI (Preferred, not required)
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- Requires sitting for a prolonged period.
- Requires dexterity and coordination to handle files, boxes and materials with occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Requires minimum reaching for items above and below desk level.
- Requires strength, coordination, and vision to use keyboard and video display terminal for prolonged periods
Legal Requirement: Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) to comply with federal contracting regulations. Must be a US person as defined by ITAR.
Language Proficiency: All candidates must be fluent in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write at a professional level.
