Aerex Industries, Inc. is an ASME Code authorized steel fabrication facility possessing the “U”, “S” & “R” ASME Certificates of Authorization. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
- Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
- Conduct quality control checks.
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment, including tools.
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying part lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Perform or assist with other fabrication duties as requested by management.
Job Functions:
- Perform job functions in the standing position as well as other physical positions as needed.
- Flexibility to work additional hours if needed to accommodate demanding delivery schedules.
- Perform work in a heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to wear the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and including but not limited to hearing protection, safety glasses, safety boots, face shield, and respiratory protection equipment as needed.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools and devices applicable to metal, FRP and plastic fabrication and assembly.
- Work cohesively with coworkers and management.
- Reliable attendance.
- Perform work safely in accordance with all Company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Five years of manufacturing experience required.
- A valid driver’s license

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to communicate and exchange accurate information. The employee frequently is required to walk; stand; sit; use foot/feet; use hand/foot controls; use both hands to finger, handle, feel, grip, or drive; use fine finger ability; use wrist motion; reach above/below shoulders; carry with hands and arms; step up/down, climb or balance; and bend/stoop, twist, squat/crouch, kneel, or crawl. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and hand-eye coordination.
Primary work assignment will require employees to frequently push/pull/lift from the floor or the table, and lift from the table to shoulder level, up to 45 pounds. Employees may occasionally push, pull, or lift loads below or above shoulder level, weighing more than 45 pounds, if they are physically able to do so safely. Employees are encouraged to use caution at all times when pushing/pulling/lifting. Employees should never lift more than they are physically capable of handling safely.
