POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing electrical components and systems for automotive, heavy-duty, and industrial applications. This is a hybrid role based in our Miramar, FL headquarters with the flexibility to work remotely. You will collaborate closely with teams across the globe, including our China-based team, requiring availability for night-time communication to ensure seamless cross-time-zone collaboration.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a rapidly expanding company, contributing to the design and development of products that meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will be working on a diverse range of automotive and industrial electronics, including voltage regulators, sensors, and motor control units. Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze Original Equipment (OE) products and develop detailed product specifications in line with market and OEM requirements.
- Design and create prototypes of electronic circuits, ensuring alignment with OE specifications and cost requirements.
- Work closely with Mechanical and Process teams to ensure the final design meets all fit, form, and function specifications for OEM products and production requirements.
- Evaluate and validate final products to ensure they meet all electrical and performance standards, ensuring robust product quality.
- Develop and maintain Product Specification documents, making sure they are clear, precise, and accessible to internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and replace electronic components as they reach end-of-life status, ensuring that new components meet the product’s design requirements without compromising performance.
- Design and develop test equipment for validating new and existing products, ensuring accurate and reliable testing processes.
- Support cross-functional teams in different regions (China, Latin America, Europe, and the US) by providing technical assistance and coordinating efforts for product development and testing.
- Offer technical support to production teams and assist in resolving product and production-related issues.
- Willingness to work during night-time hours for coordination with global teams in China.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills) and REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in automotive electronics or a related industry. A demonstrated understanding of circuit design, product validation, and cross-functional collaboration is required.
- Familiarity with electrical components, particularly in automotive or heavy-duty applications.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to learn independently, constantly improving technical knowledge and skills to stay at the forefront of developments in the automotive electronics field.
- C language programming for embedded systems.
- Product testing and validation techniques.
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuit design and prototyping
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
