Role Overview


The Fabricator B Operator is responsible for assisting with production start-up, including machinery and tooling setup, product alignment, troubleshooting, and quality control through visual inspection and measurements.


  • Assist Leadman on initial start-up of a production run including;
  • Set up and alignment of necessary machinery and tooling.
  • Start up and alignment of product.
  • Trouble shooting relating to obtaining and continuing a successful production run.
  • Visual inspection and physical measurement of all finished products in compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain all records pertinent and necessary to a successful production run including quality control and production control records.
  • Package and process all finished products in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Remove of finished products from production area to staging or storage areas designated in storage yards, warehouse and/or other departments.
  • Operate all equipment related to obtaining, packaging, processing, weighing and storing finished products.
  • Weigh and process substandard products generated by production run.
  • Assist and train operators in the operation of all equipment related to obtaining, packaging, processing, weighing and storing finished products.
  • Maintain clean, orderly area at all times and return supplies and equipment to assigned locations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to handle materials and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Ability to assess products for Quality Compliance.
  • Detail oriented. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn, apply and demonstrate Standard Operating Procedures required for position.
  • Ability to adhere to company policies, rules, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to safely operate Forklift and able to obtain and maintain Forklift License.
  • Attend all training as required.
  • Consistently perform work in a safe and efficient manner. Be aware of safe work methods and working conditions. Do everything possible to prevent accidents and injuries. Adhere to and follow all safety rules and safe work methods.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly area and return supplies and equipment to assigned locations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand verbal and written direction in English for the safe and effective performance of the job.

Physical Requirements

  • Must wear and maintain in good condition required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, reach, lift, push, pull or carry weight up to fifty (50) pounds for prolonged periods of time during assigned work shift. Manual dexterity as needed to operate machinery and equipment and complete assigned tasks.
  • Visual and audible acuity to respond and determine discrepancies in tools and equipment and perform assignments.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, moving mechanical parts and vibrations and tolerate exposure to typical noises associated with plant operations.
  • Must have physical ability and dexterity, coordination and stamina to perform required job duties.

Education and Experience

  • High School and/or GED required.
  • Forklift Operator.
