Job DescriptionRole Overview

A well-established, multi-state engineering consulting firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects. This role involves managing all aspects of project delivery-ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance-while maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage transportation projects to ensure high-quality deliverables, on time and within budget.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients, agencies, consultants, and stakeholders.

  • Lead project meetings and coordinate communication across teams.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, schedules, and reports.

  • Oversee scope development, contract documents, and change management.

  • Review and prepare engineering plans, specifications, and estimates.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide design guidance.

  • Perform quality control and supervise work completed by junior staff.

  • Assist in invoice preparation and project financials.

  • Participate in client engagement, proposal development, and public presentations.

  • Provide mentorship and professional support to junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (preferred).

  • Minimum 8 years of highway design experience.

  • Florida PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Project Manager or Deputy PM (preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

  • Valid driver's license required.
