Job DescriptionDescription:

The Clinical Team Specialist (CTS) plays a critical role in supporting the clinical operations of our Urology practice by coordinating patient care, assisting providers, and acting as a clinical resource to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient care coordination between physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, obtain medical histories, and document information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Assist with urologic procedures and testing, including catheterizations, bladder scans, and flow studies.
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure education and instruction to patients.
  • Ensure timely communication of test results, follow-up care, and treatment plans.
  • Monitor and maintain clinical supply inventory, including ordering and restocking as needed.
  • Support triage calls, patient messages, and prescription refills under provider direction.
  • Train, support, and mentor clinical support staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with scheduling and front desk teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards in all aspects of clinical care.

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification or LPN licensure preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical support role, preferably in Urology or a specialty clinic.
  • Familiarity with urologic procedures and terminology is strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, EPIC, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
