The Clinical Team Specialist (CTS) plays a critical role in supporting the clinical operations of our Urology practice by coordinating patient care, assisting providers, and acting as a clinical resource to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patient care coordination between physicians, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, obtain medical histories, and document information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with urologic procedures and testing, including catheterizations, bladder scans, and flow studies.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure education and instruction to patients.
- Ensure timely communication of test results, follow-up care, and treatment plans.
- Monitor and maintain clinical supply inventory, including ordering and restocking as needed.
- Support triage calls, patient messages, and prescription refills under provider direction.
- Train, support, and mentor clinical support staff as needed.
- Collaborate with scheduling and front desk teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards in all aspects of clinical care.
Requirements:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification or LPN licensure preferred.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical support role, preferably in Urology or a specialty clinic.
- Familiarity with urologic procedures and terminology is strongly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, EPIC, etc.).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
