Benchmark Companies is seeking a qualified applicant to join our growing teamto lead our regional mulch installation division. This position is the quintessential leadership from the front role for our mulch installation crews. We are looking for an energetic problem solver withsignificant experiencein landscape operations.
AnInstallation Superintendentis afieldmanagement position that plays a critical role in driving and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity inour daily operations, but does so in a way that elevates and unifies our staff.
As anInstallation SuperintendentatBenchmark Companies, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
- Create and foster an environment of camaraderie and teamwork
- Train and enforce all safety procedures and policies
- Ensure work is performed to thequality level expected by the company and demanded by our clients
- Oversee training and development of installation staff
- Identifyandcreate performance improvement plans for strugglingcrew leaders andcrew members
- Ensure that no crew is dispatched without a clear scope of work and proper equipment
- Challengethe establishedjob plans periodically and continuously improve the plans
- Perform pre-installation inspections for new jobs beforethe workbegins
- Identifylow performingjobs and re-plan the work to improve performance
- Act as a liaison between field operations andthe administrative, customer service, and general management functions
- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards
- Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is preferred
- Mustbe able to pass a drug and alcohol test
- 5 years of landscape experience including 2 years insome managementcapacity is preferred
- Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software programs
- Must be able to move and/orlift upto 60 pounds consistently
- Travelrequiredin leadingour regional crewsup to 25% of the year
