Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting located in Saint Johns, FL. This contract position is scheduled to begin as soon as possible with an end date of June 1, 2026. The role involves serving as an itinerant therapist, providing support across multiple school sites within the district. The primary responsibility will be to cover a medical leave for the remainder of the school year, working with students across various grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in a K-12 school environment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Conduct evaluations and monitor student progress regularly
- Manage documentation and compliance with district and state requirements
- Adapt treatments and interventions to meet diverse student needs
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapist license is required
- Experience working in school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the district
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to cover a caseload as assigned for a medical leave
