Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Painter for our evening shift at our Jacksonville, FL, facility. Join us to become part of an innovative team at the forefront of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Painter, you will play a critical role by:

  • Operating paint shop equipment, including overhead cranes, forklifts, and spray guns.
  • Safely selecting and using rigging equipment for overhead lifts (training and certification provided).
  • Wearing respiratory protection as required by Federal, State, Local, and Company regulations (testing and certification provided).
  • Mixing paint and handling materials based on job specifications.
  • Reviewing Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to determine appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for handling paints and related materials.
  • Handling and transporting hazardous waste following all safety standards (training and certification provided).
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Competencies:
    • Strong adherence to safety policies and practices.
    • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
    • Team-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
  • Work Environment:
    • Frequent exposure to high noise levels requiring hearing protection.
    • Safety-sensitive role involving daily movement of heavy components using cranes and forklifts.
    • Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing throughout the day.
  • Frequently lifting or moving items over 50 pounds, with a maximum limit of 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
  • Must meet OSHA requirements for respirator use, as determined by a licensed healthcare professional.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed.
  • Travel: None required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3-6 months of painting experience, trade schooling, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
