Summary

Rechtien International Trucks is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Truck Collision Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, repairing, and restoring commercial trucks to pre-accident condition. This role requires expertise in bodywork, frame repair, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties:

• Inspect and assess damaged commercial trucks to determine repair needs.
• Perform Collision repairs, including bodywork, paint prep, mechanical, and fabrication.
• Utilize special tools and equipment for repairs, including welders, hydraulic jacks, plasma cutters, and oxy/fuel cutting tools.
• Ensure all repairs are completed to industry standards ad manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocol and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding repair progress and any additional work required.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in collision repair techniques.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in collision repair is a plus.
• Proficient in using collision repair tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of vehicle structure and repair processes.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools - must be able to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
