A critical role awaits a skilled Registered Nurse with operating room expertise, ready to bring advanced clinical judgment and leadership to surgical care. This temporary opportunity offers a dynamic experience working alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care during surgical procedures, including scrubbing and assisting physicians.
- Coordinate surgical supplies and ensure timely readiness of cases.
- Communicate effectively with patient families and update physician preference cards.
- Supervise and support personnel delivering patient care within the surgical department.
- Float between campuses as needed, adapting to varying surgical environments.
- Adhere to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and hospital standards, along with physician orders and policies.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with strengths in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, and Urology.
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records.
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.
Schedule & Details:
- Contract position for 13 weeks starting ASAP.
- Day shift from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
