Are you mechanically inclined and looking for a hands-on opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We’re hiring a Production Technician in Lee, FL 32059 for a 2.5-month temporary contract paying $19.80/hour. This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience operating production equipment, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring quality standards are met. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, clean, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers on production equipment including fillers, labelers, palletizers, and forklifts
- Perform basic maintenance and accurately document production data, downtime, and quality checks
- Follow safety protocols and good manufacturing practices (GMP) at all times
- Communicate equipment or process issues clearly and promptly
- Conduct quality inspections on raw materials and finished products
- Collaborate with QA, maintenance, and other departments to improve line efficiency
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Basic troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfortable using computers; SAP experience a plus
- Forklift experience preferred (training available)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in varying temperatures
