The Industrial Electrician supports continuous commercial printing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and controls for printing presses, bindery equipment, and mailing automation. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, ensuring equipment reliability, and supporting high-volume, time-sensitive print production.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

All lawful directives of your supervisor or a member of Company management.

· Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, control panels, and power distribution systems

· Diagnose electrical failures in production equipment and automated machinery; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions

· Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

· Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems to reduce equipment downtime

· Wire and modify control panels, motor starters, VFDs, relays, and safety circuits

· Test electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.)

· Support machine installations, upgrades, and retrofits in coordination with maintenance and production teams

· Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and company safety standards

· Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation

· Respond to emergency breakdowns during production shifts, including nights or weekends as needed

· Collaborate with mechanical technicians, operators, and supervisors to resolve equipment issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred

· 3–5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or industrial environment

· Strong knowledge of AC/DC systems, three-phase power, motors, and industrial controls

· Experience working with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) preferred

· Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints

· Familiarity with NEC and OSHA electrical safety standards

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as required
