Reporting to the Director of Quality & Compliance, the Quality Assurance RN is responsible for ongoing analysis and review of regulatory & quality data in patient records.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Florida RN License
• A Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare or data management related field or relevant experience preferred.
• Hospice experience required.
• A minimum of one to three years’ experience in one or more of the following fields: health data management, data analysis, auditing, quality assurance, or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of state statues, Medicare conditions of participation, and Joint Commission standards preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews HOPE Assessment data to ensure accuracy and make modifications as indicated by patients’ responses & conditions.

• Submit all HOPE Assessment data to CMS within compliant timeframes and according to company policy and procedures.
• Analyze and adjust aspects of the patient charts including SMART goals, care plans and medications for compliance with regulation and accrediting body standards.
• Provides regular reports to management on patient chart compliance and quality measures.
• Conducts ad hoc reviews and audits based on high risk, problem prone, or otherwise specified areas.
• Maintains tools, reports, data, metrics, benchmarking, tracking, and trending patient data.
• Demonstrates the ability to use analytical tools and systems to improve quality and optimize performance.
• Participates in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program and provides analysis with action items for trends and issues identified.
