SUMMARY:
Maintain and repair equipment and machinery found in cafeterias, laundries, offices, dorms and warehouse (major repairs are performed by a licensed contractor). For all locations as needed - Emergency after hours work as needed - Shift/schedule may change as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment
- Ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
- Perform a daily inspection of the facility grounds, dorms and offices
- Complete daily duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, a/c, and machine equipment repair.
- G.E.D or High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- OSHA regulations, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and machine/equipment repair.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Ability to be professional, flexible, respectful, and calm.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to lead by example.
- Must have a Florida State Driver’s License with “safe driver” classification.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literate.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or English and Creole preferred.
