Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Drywall Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for drywall projects, ensuring all costs are accounted for, and helping in the successful bidding of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for drywall installation projects
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimation
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to validate estimates and ensure accuracy
- Utilize software tools for estimating, including QuickBid and On Screen Takeoff (OST), to enhance productivity and accuracy
- Maintain organized records of estimates, project details, and relevant correspondence
- Analyze costs and prepare reports to support project proposals
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience commercial drywall estimating experience
- Proficiency with OST & QuickBid required
- Experience with variety of commercial drywall projects
- Strong knowledge of drywall materials and installation processes
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
