Overview
Bay Area Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Liver Specialists are seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work within the hospital setting in Clearwater area. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be working alongside our providers during the day. This candidate will be responsible for patient assessments, diagnosing GI conditions, developing treatment plans, helping and performing procedures, and collaborating with the physician.

5 Days per week, including every Saturday & Sunday

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Florida.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in ACLS are preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in patient care.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while providing compassionate patient-centered care.
