Job Title: Industrial Apprentice Electrician
Location: Sanford, FL
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for a motivated Industrial Apprentice Electrician to assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in an industrial setting. This role is ideal for individuals who are in the process of completing an apprenticeship or gaining hands-on experience in the electrical trade. You’ll work under the guidance of journeyman electricians and gain practical skills while supporting projects that meet safety and quality standards.
TYPICAL DUTIES:

Assist in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.

Help plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.

Measure, cut, and assist with conduit installation using tools like hacksaws, benders, and pipe threaders.

Pull wire and help with splicing and connecting wires using appropriate tools and materials.

Support the installation of control panels, switchgear, relays, and other electrical components.

Assist with testing electrical systems and continuity using standard testing devices.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols at all times.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Currently enrolled in or completed an electrical apprenticeship program (preferred but not required).

Previous industrial or construction experience is a plus.

Willingness to learn and follow instructions from licensed or experienced electricians.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:

Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures.

Ability to work accurately with hand and power tools.

Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to different job site conditions.

Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and diagrams (preferred).
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
-
Work performed indoors and outdoors in industrial environments with exposure to dust, noise, fumes, electrical hazards, and varying weather conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Manual dexterity; ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods.

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders or scaffolds.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.

Clear vision and hearing required for safety and communication.
