The Low Voltage Coordinator is responsible for supporting the IT Security Team Lead by planning, organizing, and coordinating all low-voltage system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across both corporate and field locations. This position ensures effective and compliant execution of structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, and other low-voltage infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Coordinate all low-voltage system installations, repairs, and maintenance at corporate and property locations.
•Manage low-voltage vendor relationships, ensuring timely and compliant execution of work.
•Serve as the escalation point for low-voltage issues, collaborating with IT and field teams to resolve technical challenges.
•Oversee new site builds and related low-voltage setups, including structured cabling, security cameras, access control systems, analog phone lines, VoIP, and ISP/utility provisioning.
•Maintain and update documentation including wiring diagrams, infrastructure records, vendor accounts, ISP and utility information.
•Help maintain company-defined standards for all low-voltage systems and installations.
•Monitor key performance metrics and SLAs to assess system performance and team effectiveness.
•Collaborate with IT staff and network engineers to integrate low-voltage components with IT infrastructure.
•Support coordination of IT Specialist travel and prioritize tickets related to low-voltage work.
•Lead or participate in special low-voltage projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Associate's degree in Electrical, Low Voltage Technology, or a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
•3+ years of experience in low-voltage coordination, structured cabling, or IT/facility infrastructure.
•Strong understanding of access control systems, surveillance, structured cabling, and low-voltage wiring standards.
•Experience with vendor coordination, procurement, and project management.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
•Proficiency in Office 365 and ticketing/project management platforms (Jira experience is a plus).
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
•Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
•Knowledge of PTI StorLogix Cloud and OpenEye Cloud systems is a plus.
•Knowledge of contractor job site workflows is a plus.
