Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team in Tampa, FL. This temp-to-perm position involves welding carbon steel structural frames, requiring precision, attention to detail, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of MIG welding experience (preferred).
- Strong understanding of MIG welding techniques for carbon steel.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Experience using grinders, saws, and metalworking tools.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and skills assessment test.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on carbon steel structural frames following technical specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and procedures accurately.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring proper voltage, wire speed, and gas flow.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and structural integrity.
- Use grinders, saws, and other metalworking tools to smooth and finish welds.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
